The head of the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association took issue Thursday with a section of proposed regulations governing the process a state commission will need to take to consider law enforcement officers’ applications for recertification.
Ahead of a July 1 deadline for officers with last names starting with the letters A through H to recertify, the state’s Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission is considering new regulations that govern how it will deal with recertification applications. The commission’s general counsel, Randall Ravitz, outlined the proposed rules during a Thursday meeting.
