City Of Fulton Secures Funding For Firefighters Amid Statewide Staffing Shortages

The City of Fulton Fire Department is charged not just with protecting people within the city’s limits, but in surrounding towns and villages that are struggling to find volunteer firefighters. It’s partially why Fulton’s Fire Chief applied for a federal grant which has brought $1.062 million to the department to hire four new firefighters.

“It’s one of those things where when you need the extra guy, its invaluable,” said Chief Adam Howard.
