New Hampshire Firefighter Works To End Stigma A First Responders’ Mental Health

EXETER, N.H. —

After three tours of duty in Iraq and a dozen years in the fire service, a New Hampshire firefighter is on a mission to raise awareness of the mental health crisis in the first responder community.

Exeter fire Lt. Stephen Holmes said he has made it his life’s work to serve his community. Before joining the Exeter Fire Department, Holmes spent four years in the Marine Corps infantry.
